I am using an HP Pavilion DV7 Laptop with 4gb ram, onboard hd ati graphics. I can open firefox/IE and surf the web though. I am not sure what it is but I have a grey globe shape icon with grids on the icon on my bottom right bar. Everything is up to date from widnows update. I have opened the device manager but I don't seem to have any compatibility issues. I can not use system restore or open task manager to see if anything is wrong. ![]() Scanned for viruses and spyware that's good. I did a chkdsk run on my hard drive, it's good. I can get it to open but if I try to open a program from it, it freezes. I can use control alt delete but can only log off and log back in normally again until I open something and freezes, or reebot, shutdown what have you. ![]() When I try to open up applications, close them, open something within everything freezes. ![]() I also have 10mb cable in my barracks room. Should I download Optimized Graphics to get better performance or is my Video Card just Sh177Y? Would it do good trying to upgrade the processor or is there any kind of optimizations I can do? I have the Catalyst Control Panel options on max. I can play Star Wars Galaxies Online and Civilization IV just fine. I have noticed I can't run higher end games like LOTR Online, which isn't really that high end of graphics but It gets laggy and I can't play. I have hp pavilion dv7-1240us 8gb ram, ati radeon hd 3200 not sure if I can upgrade the graphics of my laptop and AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Mobile RM-72 2.10ghz and 320gb hdd Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with an external usb 1tb hard drive. ![]()
